Summary
Royce Johnson is an English teacher at Coeur d’Alene High School. I had the blessing of being in his class my senior year, where I was introduced to Siddhartha, The Stranger, 1984, Brave New World, The Canterbury Tales, Candide, and various other enlightening, interesting, and beautifully written novels. We discussed Buddhism, Royce’s travels in the East, the subtle accuracies in Huxley’s predictions of the future, and how kids have changed. Enjoy!
